Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Admission Process
Official Admission- An undergraduate grade point average of 3.0, based on a 4.0 scale.
- An undergraduate degree in Communication, related disciplines, or strong minor.
- Completion of regular application process (application form, application fee, 2 copies of official transcripts from ALL institutions attended, 3 letters of recommendations, statement of purpose).
- A prospective student whose overall undergraduate GPA is below 3.0, may be admitted conditionally. He/she is required to maintain a 3.0 graduation index for the first 9-12 hours in order to continue in the program. The department may pose other requirements for official admission.
- Any prospective student may enroll in graduate-level courses prior to applying for official admission into the graduate program by completing a \xc2\x93temporary\xc2\x94 application form (online). These courses (limited to 4 graduate level courses or 12 credit hours) may be applied toward the degree requirements upon official admission.
