Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 3

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

AdmissionsTo be considered for admission, applicants must submit the following:
  • Please visit the CSDCAS webpage to apply to the Communication Sciences & Disorders program.
  • (The 2015-16 application cycle will open SEPTEMBER 17th, 2015. Applicants wishing to apply for the 2016 cycle may not create an account or send documents or tests scores to CSDCAS prior to this date. Documents received by CSDCAS prior to this date will not be accepted).
  • Undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or the Post-Baccalaureate equivalent (leveling courses, see below). Minors or leveling courses completed outside the US will not be accepted. All leveling course must be completed at a regionally accredited college or university in the US.
  • Official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test scores taken within the last five years (can be submitted directly to CSDCAS [code 0690]).
  • Official transcripts from all regionally accredited institutions attended (submitted through CSDCAS);
  • Three letters of recommendation, including one from an academic source, which describe your professional and academic abilities (submitted through CSDCAS);
  • A personal essay that will be used to assess the applicant\xc2\x92s writing skills, career commitment and professional goals (submitted through CSDCAS).
  • Successful candidates have a minimum of 3.0 GPA and minimum GRE scores of 152 Verbal, 150 Quantitative, and 4.0 Analytical Writing.
  • The average GPA from the previous year was 3.64.
  • Successful paper-screened applicants will be contacted for a personal interview, or a Skype interview with the director.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
