Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Applicants for the PGDip in Community Children\xc2\x92s Nursing course will normally be health care professionals with a minimum of one year\xc2\x92s professional (ie post-qualification) practice.
This course is at level 7 (Master\xc2\x92s Degree) therefore evidence is required of recent study at level 6 (degree level).
In addition, you must normally:
- be registered on the relevant nursing part of the NMC register and demonstrate evidence of Advanced Level study on entry
- provide evidence of recent study at level 6.
have the support of your manager or sponsorship from a community or Hospital Trust which will ensure the following:
- have access to a community practice teacher
- have a source of funding to enable you to meet the course fees.
Additionally:
- entry on the course will be subject to satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance
- evidence of being currently on the NMC register will also be required.
- successful entry to this course is subject to satisfactory references.
Screening
All applicants will be screened for fitness for practice and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be made.
This course is not available to students classed as International for fees purposes.
