  1. The specialization requirement is met by taking structured courses from a specialization. Students with appropriate prerequisites may petition to use two 700-level courses to meet the specialization requirement.
  2. The graduate electives can be Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) graduate courses, non-ECE College of Engineering graduate courses, or approved College of Arts & Sciences graduate courses in scientific/technical areas. Graduate electives may include at most 4 credits of courses at the 9XX level. MEng students may also explore graduate electives that embrace technical project management, entrepreneurship, or leadership development.

  • Any well-qualified person with a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited US institution (or with the equivalent international education) is encouraged to apply.
  • If offered admission, all students who matriculate to Boston University will be required to provide an official transcript from their previous academic institution, indicating their previously earned degree(s). If your transcripts are not in English, you will be required to provide a certified translation with the official transcript.
