- Command and competency in the following subjects
- High-level of competency in object-oriented programming languages including: C/C++ and Java
- Operating Systems
- Software processes and software development lifecycle models (prescriptive and agile)
- Requirements engineering
- System modeling (such as using UML)
- Analysis and Design
