Academic Requirements
You can apply to:
- MSc in optometry and visual science Specialization in orthoptics and paediatric optometry: Full time (2 years)
- MSc in optometry and visual science Specialization in orthoptics and paediatric optometry: Part time (3-5 years, individually adapted)
- MSc in optometry and visual science Specialization in general practice optometry: Full time (2 year)
- MSc in optometry and visual science Specialization in general practice optometry: Part time (3-5 years, individually adapted)
- Single subject courses from the degree programme
Admission requirements
BSc in optometry or equivalent, basic competency in contact lens fitting and competency in the use of diagnostic drugs equivalent to the requirements for authorization of optometrists in Norway. Applicants with educational background from Norway must have authorization to practice optometry in Norway. The minimum requirement for admission to the MSc programme is an average grade of C or better.
Applications from optometrists authorized to practice in Norway who qualified previous to 2006 are welcome and may be accepted based on individual evaluation.
If you get admission you will also need to document a criminalrecord certificate.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
