Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.8

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.8 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

Submission of a Statement of Purpose and three letters of recommendation is OPTIONAL for admission. They may however be required if the student applies for Graduate Assistantship or Student Worker positions.

Applicants who have degrees in some non-computing fields will also be considered for admission. Students may make up their deficiencies in computer science by completing the required undergraduate background courses. Applicants who do not meet one of the above minimum admission requirements may be admitted on a provisional basis.

The GRE test requirement can be waived if any one of the following conditions is satisfied.

  • the student is a graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Systems and a GPA of 3.5 or more,\xc2\xa0OR
  • the student has earned an M.S. or more advanced degree in a closely related discipline.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
