You will normally have at least an upper second class undergraduate UK honours degree (or international equivalent) in an appropriate subject such as Biology, Ecology or Physical Geography. If you have completed the University Certificate in Biological Recording and Species Identification, you can enter the postgraduate courses without a degree but you should be able to demonstrate two years of voluntary or professional recording or related field activities.
If you have proven experience in a relevant field and can demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm for the subject, you could be admitted onto the Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in the first instance but this will be subject to an interview and possibly presentation of a portfolio.
