Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- Applicant should have a Bachelor\'s degree in Statistics or in a related subject from Sultan Qaboos University or from any other recognized university.
- Applicant must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.75 on a four-point scale or its equivalent in another system. The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies will make the assessment for equivalency acceptance.
- Applicant with a cumulative Grade Point Average between 2.5 and 2.74 maybe considered for admission subject to work experiences and any other academic activities.
- Applicant must submit a release letter or a study leave from employer, addressed to the dean of postgraduate studies at SQU. Un-employed applicant needs to submit a statement from The Public Authority of Manpower Register documenting the unemployment status of the applicant.\xc2\xa0
