Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

The Master\'s programme Physics and Astronomy is open to:

  • Applicants with an academic Bachelor\'s degree in (Applied) Physics, Astronomy, or a comparable discipline

  • Applicants with a UvA Bachelor\'s degree in Beta-gamma with a Physics major

Additional requirements for international students

International applicants must fulfill additional general entry requirements set by the UvA Faculty of Science, regarding academic background, academic average and proficiency in English.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
