Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Applicants must have a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree or its equivalent in any subject from an accredited college or university by the start of the first semester in the program. An application should\xc2\xa0include:
- Completed\xc2\xa0online application form\xc2\xa0and $50 non-refundable application\xc2\xa0fee
- Manuscript:\xc2\xa0A manuscript of original writing (published or unpublished): for the poetry track 10-12 pages, for the prose track 25-30\xc2\xa0pages.
- Personal statement:\xc2\xa0A personal essay of about 500 words on the applicant\xc2\x92s purpose for pursuing graduate study in creative writing, identifying a particular track (poetry or\xc2\xa0prose);
- Official transcripts\xc2\xa0from all colleges and universities attended (no photocopies are\xc2\xa0accepted)
- Three recommendations\xc2\xa0
