Academic Requirements
Bachelor\'s Degree Requirement
You must have earned a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor\xc2\x92s degree from an international institution that is officially recognized by that country.
GPA requirementYou must have maintained a \xc2\x93B\xc2\x94 (3.00 on a 4.00 scale) grade point average (GPA) in the last 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of undergraduate course work. If you do not meet the minimum GPA requirements, your application may still be considered.
The School of Film, Dance and Theatre requires that the following additional application materials for the MFA in Dance program be attached to your Graduate Admissions Application:
- Personal statement relating to the School\xc2\x92s core values of creativity, humanity, reflection, leadership and facility with movement as illustrated in the Learning Lens
- Please include URLs to examples of recent work, including one solo piece and one group piece, and other relevant creative work
- R\xc3\xa9sum\xc3\xa9 or C.V.
- 3 letters of recommendation from professionals in the dance field
- Apply for the MFA Dance Interview Day
