Academic Requirements
Conditions for admission of foreigners to studies depend on their legal situation.
Therefore:
1. Foreigners can be admitted on the basis of the same qualification procedure that applies to Polish citizens, provided that they:
have obtained a permit for residence in Poland;
have been granted refugee status in the Republic of Poland;
have been granted temporary protection in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
are migrating employees with EU Member State citizenship, provided that they are or have been employed in Poland, or are family members of such migrating employees and reside in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
are citizens of an EU Member State, provided that they have financial resources necessary to cover costs of living during their studies, such persons are not entitled to receive bursaries or maintenance grants.
Interested persons should submit documents to the Dean\'s Office of the selected faculties by the closing date specified by the Selection Committee.
2. Other foreigners can apply for admission to study with the omission of the enrolment procedure obligatory for Polish citizens, as:
Holders of scholarships granted by the Polish Government - enrolment for candidates to study in Poland is carried out by Polish diplomatic and consular agencies in the countries of their residence. They also direct persons lacking Polish language skills to Polish language courses conducted by institutions approved by the Ministry of National Education and Sport. Holders of scholarships granted by the Polish Government receive a monthly bursary during the academic year to cover costs of living in Poland. Candidates should report to the University before 1 October, and their documents are to appropriately transferred earlier by the Bureau for Academic Recognition and International Exchange or the Department of the Polish Language for Foreigners;
As holders of scholarships granted by the sending party, without bearing any costs for studying;
Against payment of tuition fees:
- a fee per each year of bachelor, engineering and master studies is depending on the programme of studies;
- a fee for each year of studies at doctoral studies is depending on the programme of studies.
These fees cannot be lower than actual costs of providing education services, and their amount is established by the Rector. Persons of Polish origin who undertake studies can apply for a 30% reduction in tuition fees.
The above mentioned fees are paid throughout the whole academic year by 30 September to a bank account or directly to the cashier\'s office at the University, converted into Polish zlotys at the average exchange rate of Euro published by the National Polish Bank on the day of payment. Overdue payments are charged statutory interest, and in case the payments are late for longer than 3 months - the person is removed from the list of students.
Without tuition fees and benefits - foreigners should submit their documents directly to the University (on their own, without the participation of the university) are obliged to ensure funds to cover their costs of living, accommodation, etc. Candidates for studies should submit a set of documents by 30 June (in person or by registered mail) to:
