Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
- The Master of Arts (M.A.) in DPE is designed primarily for students who wish to pursue a career in research, university or community college teaching, and related activities.
- Admission to the M.A. requires a preparation equivalent to a University of Toronto four-year bachelors degree with standing equivalent to a University of Toronto A- or better. Although most applicants have a degree in Psychology, applicants with a four-year bachelors degree in Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Linguistics, or a helping profession such as Speech and Language Pathology, Nursing, Social Work, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy are also eligible to apply.
- In addition to the required letters of recommendation, applicants are required to submit a second academic letter of recommendation.
