Academic Requirements
An undergraduate bachelor degree where 50% of each of the first and second years must be composed of bioscience, chemistry, physiology and biochemistry, (equivalent to an Australian undergraduate degree) with at least credit (60%) average (or qualification/experience or satisfactory substitute that the faculty considers to be equivalent). It is expected that your Bachelor degree has been completed in the past 10 years unless you have been assessed as having work experience that faculty considers equivalent to having studied a Bachelor degree in the past 10 years.
Essential academic subject prerequisites of:
- at least two 2nd year level units of both biochemistry and physiology (total of 50% 2nd year subject load to meet DAA accreditation requirements).
- One subject of principles of nutrition science
- and one research focused subject covering statistics and research methods
A second food /nutrition subject at any level is desirable (e.g. food science, nutrition science, lifespan nutrition).
English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
