Program Overview

The Certificate/Diploma in Language Proficiency (German) is introduced to offer you intensive and professional training in German language skills. The course will complement your expertise in your area of studies with a considerable command of the German language both related to everyday life situations as well as to terminology in connection to your field of studies, such as engineering, the medical sector, to the field of humanities or to business/management. The course is divided into two parts: the Certificate and the Diploma. Both parts can be followed concurrently with the main degree course followed by a student of the University. The Diploma brings you up to C1.2 level of CEFR. At this level, As a graduate, you will have a very high knowledge of the language and can follow both spoken and written material with ease. Applicants for the Diploma Course may be exempted from elements of the Certificate Course if they can provide accredited certification in the language and if they are deemed able to follow the Course with profit by the Board of Studies for the area of study. The Diploma Course may be taken concurrently with any University undergraduate or postgraduate Course, whether followed on a full-time or a part-time basis.
