Course Structure
- TU 1 Tools and Methods to study Cultural landscapes infographics, GIS, ICT, surveys and management of cultural projects,
- TU 2 Concepts and Theories in particular from a legal and political point of view on Heritages and Cultural Landscapes as well as issues related to labeling,
- TU 3 Complex and Global Management of Landscapes (Specialization 1),
- TU 4 Dynamic Management of Cultural Landscapes (Specialization 2),
- TU 5 Interdisciplinarity and Intercultural issues in professional situations.
Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
- Applicants must hold a bachelor degree (or any nationally recognized first cycle degree equivalent to 180 ECTS). Regarding the different professional opportunities in the field of cultural landscapes and heritage management, applicants can hold a bachelor diploma in Humanities, Planning, Urbanism, Architecture, Law, Natural sciences, Social Sciences, Chemistry, Tourism, Physics, Engineering, Design, and Art.
- Bachelor students having already obtained at least 150 ECTS may apply but they will be admitted only if they are successful before the summer break.
The Selection Committee will assess and evaluate application forms according to the following criteria: quality and adequacy of candidates academic background, motivation, previous professional experience (if applicable), consistency and relevance of the professional project, ability to work with other people in order to learn together. Special attention will be paid to the letter of motivation in which all criteria will have to be clearly identified.
This is a two-stage assessment procedure. Each eligible application is first evaluated by 12 people: 2 academics from each member institution of the Consortium and 2 experts from one associated or supporting partner. Evaluations are made according to the following weighted criteria: academic excellence (40%), motivation (35%), professional experience and previous learning mobility (15%), recommendations (5%), additional language proficiency (5%).
Final selection is agreed during a DYCLAM Executive Board meeting by full consensus on the basis of averaged evaluations score.English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
