Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

Candidates should have at least a second class degree (equivalent to a B average) in Geology, Earth Science(s) or Geological Engineering from a recognized university and adequate preparation in physics, chemistry and mathematics. Those not meeting these requirements may enter a qualifying year during which they will undertake courses determined by the Supervisory Committee. The MSc degree requirements are a thesis on original research, and completion of four graduate level term courses (one of which may be replaced by a 4000 level undergraduate course).

English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
