ADMISSION
Procedure
- An applicant has to register at Studielink in time. Subsequently the applicant will be asked to submit a digital portfolio by email or file sharing (e.g.: We Transfer etc.), a resume (C.V.) and a short letter of motivation (both in English). An initial selection will be made on the basis of this portfolio, letter of motivation and resume. The portfolio contains a visually attractive overview of former work, potentially consisting of free work, assignments, written articles, etc. Selected applicants will be sent an assignment. After receiving the result of the assignment a second selection will take place. The applicants selected will be invited for an interview before an admission committee in the period March-late June.
- Applicants who are not selected for the second selection or for the interview will be notified within 4 weeks after we received the documents mentioned above.
- The admission committee will consist of at least three members; a lecturer, a student and the Course Director (or a substitute). After the interview, applicants will be notified within 2 weeks on whether they are admitted or not. If the committee needs more time to make an admission decision, we reserve the right to put the applicant on a waiting list. In that case, the outcome will not be known until 2 weeks after the next admission date.
Criteria
- Candidates who have a bachelor degree in Fashion Design are elibigle to apply for the Master Fashion Design. Candidates who want to apply for the specialisation Shoe Design must have a bachelor in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Product Design or 3D Design. It is also possible to apply for the Master Fashion Design without a Bachelor degree but with a minimum of 8-year relevant work experience. In that case also a minimum of 3 reference letters must be delivered. All applicants will be evaluated in terms of their talent and development potential for the specialisation in question. We will admit a maximum of twelve applicants for the Master Fashion Design within the specialisation Fashion Design and a maximum of six applicants for the Master Fashion Design within the specialisation Shoe Design.
Language
- The language of instruction of our courses is English. Applicants must have a basic fluency in English, a skill that will be tested at the entrance exam. In case of doubts about the applicants proficiency in English, we may require them to take an IELTS test with a minimum score of 6.0 (for all parts).
English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
