Admission Requirements:
  1. Complete the University Online Application via CSU Mentor \xc2\x96 Must be completed by March 1.

    • All applicants must fill out the application on CSU Mentor and pay the required fee.

    • A SDSU RED ID Number will then be assigned which allows tracking of application status online.

  2. Send official test scores and transcripts to Graduate Admissions \xc2\x96 Must be received by April 1.

    • GRE (and if applicable, TOEFL) test scores must be sent directly from ETS. (Institution Code: 4682)

    • Send official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

    The program application requires the following items:

  • A personal statement of no more than 750 words that describes why you wish to pursue a Masters of Arts in Economics at San Diego State University.

  • Two letters of recommendation \xc2\x96 Applicant must provide names and email addresses for recommenders. Recommenders will be invited to complete the recommendation electronically.

* The deadline is March 1st for the online CSU Mentor and Program applications. However, scholarships and RA positions are allocated early so get your application in as soon as possible. Please note that the CSUMentor application must be completed PRIOR to the program application. Please plan to complete the CSUMentor application AT LEAST one week before the program deadline. Your application will not be processed until all the required information listed above is received.
