Program Overview
The Environmental Science (formerly Environmental Chemistry and Health) at University of Copenhagen is a MSc programme in Natural Sciences over 24 months, delivered On-campus. Admission Requirements
If you have completed a Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree or are enrolled in the final semester of a Bachelor\xc2\x92s programme you are eligible to apply for the Master\xc2\x92s programme in Environmental Science.
Regardless of what university you are enrolled at, you can - if you meet the language requirements - apply on the basis of a Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree that grants direct access or another relevant Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree.
Bachelor\xc2\x92s degrees that grant direct access
If you hold one of the degrees listed below, you are considered to meet all admission requirements and have direct access to apply to the Master\xc2\x92s programme in Environmental Science.
- BSc in Natural Resources with the specialisation in Environmental Science from the University of Copenhagen (reserved access*)
- BSc in Natural Resources with the specialisation in Environmental Science from another Danish or nordic universities
- Biology-Biotechnology from the University of Copenhagen
- Chemistry from the University of Copenhagen
- Biology from the University of Copenhagen
- Pharmacy from the University of Copenhagen
- Technical Science with a specialisation in Environmental Technology from DTU
* If your Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree grants reserved access, you are guaranteed a place on the Master\xc2\x92s programme if you apply before the application deadline during the first application period after you complete your Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree.
Other Bachelor\xc2\x92s degrees
If you have a Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree other than those listed above, you must submit additional documentation along with your application so the University can evaluate whether or not you meet the admission requirements.
Applicants with a Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Geography and Geoinformathics or similar from the University of Copenhagen, other Danish, Nordic or international universities may be admitted if their programme includes three of the following four areas:
- Biology or ecology 7,5 ECTS credits
- Natural resources 7,5 ECTS credits
- Environmental chemistry 7,5 credits
- Chemistry, 7,5 ECTS credits
are deemed to possess educational/academic qualifications equivalent to the
requirements listed above.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
