Course Structure
- This graduate program is designed for the working adult, with flexible online and evening (on-campus) coursework. Our on campus courses are typically meet from 4:30 to 7:15 in the evening, once per week. The standard number of classes per semester for our graduate students is 6 \x96 9 credit hours, depending on our students\x92 individual schedules, including other personal and professional obligations. This program can be completed in as little as five (5) semesters.

You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.75 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- Undergraduate Grade Point Average of at least 2.75
- Completion of a course in psychology or education of the exceptional child
- Must hold a current teaching license/certificate
- At least one year of certified teaching experience
- Complete the online UMKC Graduate Application
- Complete the PK-12 Education Administration Application Packet Cover Sheet (See Resources)
- Provide three professional or academic letters of reference on official letterhead. At least one letter must be from a direct supervisor.
- Provide a written statement of purpose outlining your rationale for application to the program and learning goals
- Provide a copy of your teaching license/certification. Copies of administrative certification is also required for the Online Superintendent Ed.S. Program
- Provide a copy of your current professional resume, showing at least 1 year of certified teaching experience
- The online graduate application and the official transcripts will need to be sent directly to the UMKC Admissions Office.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
