Academic Requirements
Admission to candidature for the Master of International Studies (2 years full-time) requires:
- a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree with a minimum credit (65 percent) average calculated over the whole degree, from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification
Admission to candidature for the Master of International Studies (1.5 years full-time) requires:
- a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree with a minimum credit (65 percent) average in a relevant discipline, calculated over the whole degree, from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification or
- relevant professional work experience
Admission to candidature for the Master of International Studies (1 year full-time) requires:
- completion of the embedded Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in International Studies with a minimum credit (65 percent) average, or an equivalent qualification or
- an Honours degree in a relevant discipline or
- relevant professional work experience and a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree with a minimum credit (65 percent) average or an equivalent qualification
English language requirements:
IELTS: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band TOEFL paper-based: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing TOEFL IBT: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
