Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
For your convenience, degree applications are accepted continuously throughout the year. Your admission will be reviewed on the strength of your ability for graduate studies, based upon the following criteria:
- Undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
- Three letters of recommendation are required for the Educational Leadership and Special Education programs. Two letters of recommendation are required for the Curriculum & Instruction program. Contact information for recommenders is submitted online.
- Application to the Graduate School and to the Master of Education program
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work
- Resume of personal, professional, and educational background
- Written statement of applicant\xc2\x92s professional and academic goals

- Curriculum & Instruction Programs
- GRE scores are not required for applicants applying for their first master\xc2\x92s degree with at least a 3.0 GPA overall in their undergraduate degree program (or at least a 3.2 graduate GPA).
- Educational Leadership Program
- GRE/MAT scores are required for all applicants of the Educational Leadership program. Candidates must complete all three sections of the GRE/MAT and have taken the test within the last five years.
- Special Education Program
- GRE/MAT scores are not required for applicants applying for the Special Education program with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above.
- GRE/MAT scores and a writing sample are required for applicants applying for the Special Education program with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0. Candidates must complete all sections of the GRE/MAT and have taken the test within the last five years.
- Curriculum & Instruction Programs
- International applicants must have a minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550 (paper version) or 190 (electronic version)
