Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
In addition to UWF\'s graduate admission requirements, the School of Education bases its decisions on a holistic review of credentials. Here are the criteria that help us assess your potential success:
- Submission of one of the following standardized test scores:
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
- Miller Analogies Test (MAT)
- 3.0 undergraduate GPA OR GRE verbal OR MAT score that falls at or above the 50th percentile
- Your letter of intent stating work experience, your reasons for pursuing the degree, and your career goals

Degree Requirements for the online M.Ed. in Educational Leadership
Students seeking an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership must also meet the following requirements:
- Be admitted to the program
- Submit an approved degree plan that includes 33-60 semester hours
- Complete degree requirements compliant with the time to degree policy
- Be recommended for graduation by the Department of Professional and Community Leadership
- Pass the Florida Educational Leadership Examination (FELE)
