You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

Admission requirements:

The requirements for admission to masters study in this department include:

  1. A bachelors degree in engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, or a closely related area from an accredited college or university. For admission to the M.S., students who elect to take a block of elective courses within the Energy and Environmental Systems and the Energy, Technology, and Policy focus areas will need to have completed prerequisite courses of one year of calculus (MAT 131, 132 or equivalent).
  2. A minimum undergraduate grade point average of 3.0;
  3. Three letters of recommendation;
  4. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test scores; Stony Brook University\xc2\x92s school code is 2548, there is no separate code for the department. We do not accept photo copies of ETS scores.
  5. If your native or primary language is not English, a test to measure your English proficiency is required. The department and Graduate School except TOEFL and IELTS examination scores. The minimum score for TOEFL is 85 and an overall score of 6.5 with no subsection below 6 for IELTS.
  6. A Statement of Purpose describing the applicant\xc2\x92s relevant past experience and immediate and long-term goals. Your statement of purpose must include your area of interest: Educational Technology, Global Technology Management, Energy and Environmental Systems and Energy, Technology, and Policy.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
