  1. understand, model and predict the behaviour of semiconductor devices;
  2. design, model and realize programmable inegrated circuits;
  3. demonstrate knowledge and understanding of operating system kernels as well as techniques used in parallel programming;
  4. use the functional programming paradigm to solve various problems;
  5. understand the hardware and software architecture of embedded systems and demonstrate ability to develop them;
  6. conduct a physical variable measurement experiment using various sensors;
  7. formulate a real problem in terms of a mathematical optimization model, determine its complexity and apply or implement the main optimization algorithms.

Academic Requirements

The master programmes are open to students who hold one of the following:

  • a bachelor in the same curriculum;
  • the same master with a different focus;
  • a university degree, subject to the academic authorities\' decision and to additional requirements defined by them;
  • a long course academic degree granting access to the master, subject to a decision by the government and to additional requirements defined by it;
  • an academic degree similar to those mentioned above, delivered under the same conditions by the Flemish Community, the German-speaking Community or the Royal Military Academy.
