Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Admission Requirements
The following is required for admission to the MSEE program:
Baccalaureate degree: Electrical engineering or related discipline
GPA in the last 60 hours of undergraduate engineering coursework: 3.0 or better*
*If GPA is below 3.0 but more than 2.75, and if other indicators promise success in the program, rules may still allow probationary admission.
Pre-program requirements may be specified in case the bachelor\xc2\x92s degree is in a discipline different to which the candidate is applying.
The applicant must also include:- Application for admission
- Official transcripts of all college coursework
- Graduate engineering supplemental application
- Official results of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE)
- The applicant must score in at least the 75th percentile on the quantitative portion of the GRE. Admission to our degree programs is competitive and a higher score is recommended.
- Two letters of recommendation from professors at previous institutions or mentors at places of employment are required for students with a GPA less than 3.0 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
