Academic Requirements

To be considered for admission to a Master\xc2\x92s program, a student will normally hold a four year degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited university with a minimum 75% (mid-B) average over the last two years of full-time undergraduate study.

You will need to submit your transcripts as well as the following program-specific materials:
  • Three references are required.
  • Statement of Intent \xc2\x97 a one-page statement outlining your objectives in undertaking graduate study in the History Department at Brock University
  • Sample of scholarly writing \xc2\x97 this can be an essay, journal article, research paper, or thesis (single author only) of no more than 20 pages in length

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
