Applicants are expected to have attained a high scholastic standing equal to, or greater than, the minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.3 (out of 4.0 at McGill University) in ALL levels of study.

  • A general background in the biological sciences, notably molecular and cellular biology, and mammalian physiology.
  • Advanced level coursework related to the applicant\'s field of interest.
  • Adequate laboratory experience.
  • Applicants must submit a personal statement with their application package. We suggest that you briefly describe your background, research interests and reasons for pursuing graduate study. The statement should be about 2 pages, single spaced, and be uploaded in PDF format.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation must accompany any application to the program and must be from the references indicated in the online application. Applicants are encouraged to request recommendations from academic or other professional employers who can evaluate their potential for graduate study and research, and who can attest the applicant\'s abilities. On the application form applicants must provide the names and email addresses of referees. McGill will request letters of reference on your behalf from referees you identify on the application form.
  • A record of study is required from each university-level institution you have attended (Cegep not required). Upload an unofficial copy of your complete university-level academic record to date through your applicant page
