Admission Requirements
Admission to the Department of Elementary Education graduate programs is competitive, based on applicant qualifications and availability of supervisors in areas of student interests. The minimum qualifications for eligibility are:
an undergraduate degree equivalent to a University of Alberta Bachelor of Education degree (BEd),
teaching certification
a grade point average of 3.0 on a 4 point grading system and
at least one year of successful teaching experience at the early childhood, elementary or middle classroom level. (student teaching and substitute teaching does not qualify)
English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
