Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
The MA in Dramatherapy is open to candidates over 23 years of age on January 1st of year of entry. The programme is open to graduates and people with professional training such as Social Studies, Special Needs, Learning Disabilities, Teaching, Nursing or Psychotherapy. The programme is also open to candidates with a degree or qualification in Drama, Theatre Studies and Performance Arts.
All applicants are required to have some experience in each of the following areas:
- 6 months minimum experience of working with people in clinical, social or educational settings
- Drama and theatre training or extensive experience of drama
- Training in or an interest in and experience of personal development through personal therapy or counselling.
Applicants must have a recognised primary degree which is considered equivalent to Irish university primary degree level.
Minimum English language requirements:
- IELTS: 6.5 minimum overall score
- TOEFL (Paper based test): 585
- TOEFL (Internet based test): 95
- PTE (Pearson): 62
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
