Program Curriculum
Course Structure
- We run a comprehensive two-week induction period that includes an overview of the programme and advice on module selection as well as a range of other vital information sessions. You do not have to select your modules until you have had the opportunity to listen and learn about them in greater detail during induction.
- Many of the modules will be co-taught by practitioners and leading industry figures so you will benefit from practical real life insights into the industry. You will also be able to attend a series of General Counsel lectures, giving you a chance to network with speakers from organisations such as Exxon, British Gas, Shell and EDF.

You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to Upper Second Class on the UK Honour scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on the UK Honour scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- The usual qualification for entry to the LLM programme is a degree in law, or a degree with a substantial law content, of at least 2.1 honours (or equivalent). Law graduates with 2.2 honours who also have other legal qualifications and/or substantial professional legal experience may also qualify.
- Non-law graduates with a minimum second class honours degree, that have also obtained a Merit (or 60 per cent) in the Common Professional Examination (CPE) or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) recognised by the UK professional bodies, may also qualify.
English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
