Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
For admission to the Graduate School, an applicant must hold either (1) a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or (2) a tertiary (postsecondary) degree that is deemed comparable to a four-year bachelor\'s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution. This degree must be from an officially recognized degree-granting institution in the country in which it operates a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree from a U.S. regionally accredited institution or a postsecondary degree that is equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree earned from an officially recognized degree-granting international institution. Applicants with at least a 3.00 junior/senior grade-point average (on a 4.00 scale) and appropriate course backgrounds may be considered for admission. Exceptions to the minimum 3.00 grade-point average may be made for students with special backgrounds, abilities, and interests.
All applicants must provide the department with official transcripts of all their previous course work (in duplicate); international applicants must submit official transcripts, degree, and diploma certificates in both English and their native language. Photocopies will not be accepted. Applicants must also submit scores from the GRE\xc2\xae revised General Test (verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing), a statement of objectives, resume, and three letters of recommendation.
