Course Structure
- Theoretical foundation of psychotherapy science (diagnostic techniques, psychopathology, historical foundation)
- Applied psychotherapy science: (profesional-patient comunication, treatment techniques, reflection and supervision of the praxis, self-awareness and personal development)
- Praxeology: deeper understanding of the practical work with a patient from each method.
- Research: qualitative, quantitative, comparative and specific software
Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
The Research Master is an academic graduate program. The duration of the Master program is 4 semesters (120 ECTS credits). It is not possible to give any equivalences.
- General requirement according to the Bologna system
- The admission to the Master program requires holding a Bachelor degree of 180 ECTS credits.
- The student\xc2\x92s Bachelor degree must be in the same subject as the intended Master degree, or in a closely related, \xc2\x93cognate\xc2\x94, discipline.

Eligibility
- Students who have achieved a Bachelor degree in psychology, history, anthropology, sociology, medicine, pedagogics, philosophy, theology, political sciences and social sciences: These students can be enrolled in the SFU- Research Master program without additional requirements.
- Students who have achieved a Bachelor degree non-related to psychotherapy science and the studies named in (i): Then these students can be enrolled in the Research Master program after having fulfilled the following requirements.
The requirements are as follows:
- 50 hrs self-awareness
- 100 hrs practical experience with clients in a psycho-social field
- 13 hrs reflection of the practical experience
- 100 hrs (4 ECTS) courses on at least two different psychotherapeutic modalities
