Coursework Required for Admission Consideration:\xc2\xa0Applicants should have a technical background in engineering, mathematics, science, or technology. Two years\' relevant work experience in a company is preferred, but exceptions can be made.

Bachelor\'s Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline:\xc2\xa0A baccalaureate degree in engineering, science, or technology is required.

Statement of Goals:\xc2\xa0An\xc2\xa0essay on your professional plans and goals should be one to three pages in length. It should reflect your influences, values, aspirations, and interest in the M.S. in Engineering Management program. The following questions may be addressed:

  • What particular past experiences or previous exposure (academic, professional, etc.) prepared or motivated you to pursue an M.S. in Engineering Management degree?
  • How would you expect to change over the course of the program?
  • What personal and professional values and skills do you hope to acquire through the academic content?
  • How will obtaining the M.S. in Engineering Management degree support your career objectives or potential career path(s)?
  • Given the importance of teamwork and collaboration in business, what are the most significant strengths or contributions you bring to a team?

Standardized Test Scores:
GRE: Required. Scores must be no more than 5 years in advance of the application date. (See\xc2\xa0Graduate School Policy 02.23.12.) Applicants who request a waiver of the GRE should consult the Engineering Management Program Director concerning the mechanics and consequences of obtaining an exception.

TOEFL: 79 iBT or 550 PBT minimum. (See\xc2\xa0Graduate School Policy 02.23.13.01.)

IELTS Academic version may be substituted for the TOEFL with a comparable minimum score of 6.5.
