Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 2.5

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.5 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

To enter KU\'s Master of Science in Engineering Management program, applicants must have:

  • Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree in engineering or related science from an accredited institution.
    Technology degrees are considered only with a very high (e.g. 3.8) GPA and substantial experience (8-10 years).
  • A 3.0 or higher grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). Admission may be granted on a provisional basis if your GPA is between 2.50 and 2.99.
  • Two year\'s full-time, post-undergraduate work experience in a technological environment.
  • International students must also meet the English, visa/I20, and financial support requirements described in the "How to Apply" section.
  • Engineering Management (EMGT) does not require the GRE or GMAT

    English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
