- Skype interview - will be conducted to candidates who have passed preliminary evaluation
Motivation letter/personal statement
For each programme you apply to, an individual motivation letter (1 A4) must be inserted.
Please include following:
- Previous experience in physics/engineering \xc2\x96 participation in various projects, extracurricular activities, previous work and study experiences, if applicable;
- why are you interested in physics;
- ideas for topics of master\xc2\x92s thesis;
- your future academic and career goals.
PS! It is important to properly cite any sources (quotations, publications, ideas which are not your own etc.) used in your motivation letter, because to do otherwise would be plagiarism and result in disqualification.

Skype interview
The aim of interview is to understand your academic potential, motivation and suitability for your chosen course. Questions are composed to assess your:
- problem-solving abilities;
- intellectual flexibility and analytical skills;
- assimilation of new ideas and information.
Questions are composed based on the submitted motivation letter, additionally candidates should be prepared to answer questions and solve problems about physics: D. Halliday, R. Resnick, J. Walker, Fundamental Physics 8th ed.
The length of an interview varies between 10-20 minutes and will be conducted by the specialists in the programme you have applied for.
Grading scale:
- Motivation letter max. 20 points
- List of grades max. 30 points
- Skype interview max. 50 points
English Proficiency: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
