Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Admission to the MA in English
In addition to the general University requirements for admission to graduate study, the Department of English requests 21 undergraduate credits in English and American literature.
Applicants must submit a short essay explaining their reasons for applying to the program and describing their goals. GRE scores are required.
The deadline for graduate applications is July 1 for the fall semester. The deadline for Teaching Assistantship Applications is February 15. Applications are also accepted for the spring semester and are due by November 1.
