Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 3.25

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3.25 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

To be considered for admission to Saunders MS in Management, and MS in Entrepreneurship and Innovative Ventures programs, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
  • Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution,
  • Submit official transcripts (in English) of all previously completed undergraduate and graduate course work,
  • Submit a current resume,
  • Essay: please see requirements below,
  • Complete a graduate application,
  • Submit the results of the Graduate Management Admission Test* (GMAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE). GRE scores over five years old will not be accepted.
*GMAT may be waived if one (1) or more of the following are submitted:
  • GPA of 3.25 or higher,
  • Evidence of professional work experience of 6 or more years,
  • Students who cannot submit a GMAT, GRE or one of the two items listed here will be considered on a case by case basis.
Essay: Applicants must select 1 of the 3 essay topics below. The essay should be typed, double-spaced, and 2 pages in length.
  • Describe an ethical dilemma you have faced and how you resolved it.
  • Explain what you have learned from a managerial, leadership, or team experience that was not completely successfully.
  • Describe your greatest professional achievement and how you added value to your organization.
  • International Student Application Requirements
English-language test scores
  • International applicants whose native language is not English must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Minimum scores of 580 (paper-based) or 92 (Internet-based) are required. Scores from the International English Testing Language System (IELTS) are accepted in place of the TOEFL exam. The minimum acceptable score is 7.0.
