Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

Admission to the M1 program
  • To access the first year of the program, you should be a student of high academic level and have obtained a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, physics, Earth sciences or applied mathematics.
  • No knowledge in fluid mechanics is needed but a basic mathematical background (on partial differential equations for instance) is required.
Admission to the M2 program
  • To access the second year of the program, you should be a student of high academic level and have either
    • completed the first year of a Master\'s program (M1), or
    • graduated from a school of mechanical, civil or chemical engineering.
  • Direct admission from a bachelor degree (in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, physics, Earth sciences, applied mathematics) is possible for outstanding students with a sound knowledge of fluid mechanics.
  • The M2 program is normally followed by the first year of a PhD. The graduated student can also occupy an engineer position in a company.
To access the program (in M1 or M2), your English proficiency should be at least equivalent to the following scores: TOEFL (Internet based) 60, or IELTS 5.5, or European level B2.
