Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

To be considered for admission to the MASc in environmental systems engineering and management program, the minimum requirements will normally be a second-class degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, applied chemistry, civil engineering, mechanical engineering or other relevant area of study from a university of recognized standing.

Applicants must supply the following documentation before the application can be processed.
  • An application for graduate studies
  • One set of transcripts (showing the marks in each course completed since the first year of university education)
  • A TOEFL score of at least 550 on the paper-based test or 80 on the Internet-based test; a minimum overall score of 6.5 on IELTS; or other demonstration of English proficiency as described in the University Calendar (www.mun.ca/regoff/calendar).
  • Two (2) letters of appraisal
