Academic Requirements

To join this programme on a full-time basis:
  • 40 UCAS Tariff points for 2016/17 entry or 16 UCAS Tariff points for 2017/18 entry. You can achieve the required number of UCAS Tariff points from A Level Grade E or BTEC National Subsidiary Diploma (QCF) P.
  • Accreditation of prior learning through relevant NVQ Level 4 or 5 qualifications may be possible. GCSE English and GCSE Mathematics at Grade C or above (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • If you accept a formal offer from Edge Hill University you will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure indicating that you meet the mandatory criteria of \xc2\x91Clearance to Work with Children and/or Vulnerable Adults\xc2\x92. Further information will be sent to you after you have firmly accepted an offer.
To join this programme on a part-time basis:
  • The minimum entry requirement is at least one year\xc2\x92s experience of working within an Early Years setting either as a volunteer or through full-time or part-time employment. It is desirable that you should also have 40 UCAS Tariff points or relevant Level 3 qualifications for 2016/17 entry or 16 UCAS Tariff points or relevant Level 3 qualifications for 2017/18 entry.
