Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

Applicants who have completed an undergraduate academic degree program at another university, universities of applied sciences, or other post-secondary institutes of education in Austria or abroad, may seek admission to the Wi-Tech program at the JKU. Admission requires that the undergraduate academic degree program is equivalent to the JKU\xc2\x92s Bachelor\xc2\x92s degree in \xc2\x93Technical Chemistry\xc2\x94 in content and scope. Equivalency is given if the following subjects have been successfully completed in the stated minimum scope, whereby at least 32 ECTS credits must be in chemical lab/practical courses (lab in chemistry with one\xc2\x92s own experimental activities):
  • General and Inorganic Chemistry (20 ECTS credits)
  • Analytical Chemistry (20 ECTS credits)
  • Organic Chemistry and Polymer Chemistry (21 ECTS credits)
  • Physical Chemistry (16 ECTS credits)
