Course Structure

- participation in case competitions such as the CFA (Chartered Financial Analysts) Institute Research Challenge
- preparation for the CFA exams. The Finance major at UC has been accepted into the CFA Certified Financial Institute University Recognition Program. This means our degree programme incoporates at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK). This provides students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and positions them well to sit the CFA exams to obtain the CFA qualification.

Academic Requirements
- The Master of Commerce degree consists of 180 points of which between 90-120 points is coursework (between six and nine courses), and a 90-point thesis or a 60-point dissertation.
- The MCom take 1218 months full-time or 1836 months part-time to complete. Enrolment is normally full-time unless the Dean of Commerce approves part-time study.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
