- [\'Complete one of the University\\x92s Chicago Language Center\\x92s (CLC)\\x93Research Purposes\\x94 courses offered in German and French with a grade of A, where completion of these courses involves taking the same kind of comprehension-based exam the CLC now administers University-wide.\', \'Receive a \\x93High Pass\\x94 on the comprehension-based exam now offered in German and soon in French.\', \'Receive a \\x93High Pass\\x94 on the traditional translation-based exam offered in German and French.\', \'Introduction to the Study of Religion."\', \'Satisfactory completion of one additional course from each of the three committees of the faculty.\']

Academic Requirements
Applicants to master\'s level programs are not required either to have majored or to have done\xc2\xa0concentrated work in religious studies during\xc2\xa0their undergraduate course\xc2\xa0of study, although broad training in the liberal arts is expected.
Students from the United States who do not have a\xc2\xa0BA degree or its equivalent, or who come from an unaccredited institution, should write to the Dean of Students of the Divinity School concerning eligibility for admission.
