Program Curriculum

Course Structure

  1. The first semester is aimed at acquiring fundamentals of economics, management, law, policy sciences and research methods relevant to the health care sector. All fundamental courses need to be passed (or exemption received)\xa0in order to start 2. semester courses.
  2. Second and third semesters are devoted to the development of advanced & specialized skills on current issues in health care sector.
  3. The fourth semester is dedicated to the preparation of the master thesis. Students who want to write their master thesis in Oslo need to submit a research proposal no later than 15th of November in the third semester.

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

The European Master in Health Economics and Management has a yearly intake of 60 students per cohort. The application and admission process for the European Master in Health Economics and Management is organised at the University of Oslo (UiO). The Erasmus University Rotterdam is the coordinating university, and is responsible for enrolment. A Consortium Board that consists of representatives of the four partner universities manages the program.\xc2\xa0Before you apply, you must be aware of the following:

  • The\xc2\xa0offered admission will indicate where you will begin you study.
  • If you are admitted and accept the offer you will receive an enrolment letter from Erasmus University Rotterdam
  • Students will start their studies at one of the four partner universities. The Consortium Board will allocate the admitted students among the four universities for the first semester based on students\xc2\x92 preferences and their rank in the application process.
  • The first semester in Oslo starts in August, while the first semester in Bologna, Innsbruck, and Rotterdam starts in September.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
