Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
Admission for Dutch Academic (WO) students
- Technical bachelors or a bachelor in natural sciences can be admitted immediately to the EPA MSc master programme.
- Dutch Academic Bachelors with a degree in Architecture and other similar Bachelor courses, may only be admitted under certain conditions.
- Dutch Academic students holding a Bachelor degree in System Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management can be admitted directly; students holding similar bachelor degrees are admitted under certain conditions.
HBO degree
HBO students graduates with a degree in a technical field or in natural sciences from a Dutch University of Applied Sciences may be eligible for admission to the MSc EPA.
Depending on your grades you will be required to follow a bridging programme. This bridging programme can be taken as a minor embedded in your HBO programme.Non-Dutch BSc degree
1) A. A bachelors degree from a good university, that is comparable in level with a bachelor degree from a research university in the Netherlands in a main subject closely related to the MSc programme to which you are applying, with good grades on the key courses.
or
B. A proof that you have nearly completed bachelors from a good university, that is comparable in level with a bachelor degree from a research university in the Netherlands in a main subject which is closely related to the MSc programme to which you are applying, with good grades on the key courses.
Exceptions: Engineering and Policy Analysis, Management of Technology, Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management and Science Education & Communication, to which students holding any Bachelors of technology or science / engineering degree may be admitted.
2)A Bachelor\'s Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 75% of the scale maximum, unless specific requirements are defined for the country in which you obtained your Bachelors degree.
3)Proof of English language proficiency.
- A TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with an overall Band score of at least 90 and a minimum score of 21 for each section. Please note that we only accept the TOEFL internet-based test.
- An IELTS (academic version) with an overall Band score of at least 6.5 and a minimum of 6.0 for each section.
- Proof that you have passed the the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE)exam, the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) exam or the Cambridge English: Business Higher (BEC Higher) exam.
4)A clear and relevant essay in English (1,000 1,500 words)
5)Two reference letters in English, French, German or Dutch
6)An extensive résumé (curriculum vitae) written in English.
7)Proof of identity
English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
