Academic Requirements

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.5 on a US 4.0 grading scale. With the qualifications listed under \xc2\x93Conditionally Classified Graduate\xc2\x94 status below, the M.S. degree program is open to any student in possession of a baccalaureate degree in Geology with coursework equivalent at least to the core requirements for the B.S. degree in Geology at Cal State East Bay. Students who do not meet those requirements will be considered on an individual basis and accepted only after approval by a majority of regular faculty members.
