Academic Requirements
Any application should be accompanied by the following:
- Application and Curriculum Vita & Personal Statement as separate files (see online information for details)
- An application fee (US $60 in the form of a personal check (drawn on a U.S. bank), money order, or cashier\'s check made payable to TCU). The application will not be processed without payment of this application fee.
- One official transcript from any college/university attended and from which credit was received towards the undergraduate degree
- GRE scorers
- Three letters of reference, which are commonly written by your professors, work supervisors, or other professionals that can evaluate your ability to succeed at the graduate level. We do not have a form letter and letters are commonly written on department or company letterhead and are sent to the address below directly by the people that write the letters.
- Financial Aid Application. A separate PDF form on the College of Science & Engineering website, is available for students seeking financial support in the form of a Teaching Assistantship. This form would be in addition to the online application.
International students must also provide the following:
- TOEFL scores. If the primary language of instruction for the undergraduate degree was not English, we also need a TOEFL score with a minimum score of 550 (old paper score), which is equivalent to 79-80 on the internet-based test or 213 on the computer-based test. The TOEFL is required regardless of coursework that you may have completed.
